The Office of the President
Daniel A. DiBiasio becomes the 11th president of Ohio Northern University.

Evidence of Excellence
Ohio Northern’s reputation for excellence continues to grow. In just the last few months, ONU has received recognition for teaching quality, high graduation rates, commitment to volunteer service and, most impressively, providing a high return on investment (ROI) to its graduates.

Location
Our scenic, safe and modern campus rests on nearly 342 acres in the village of Ada, Ohio (population 5,582). Our location provides a quaint small town atmosphere that complements the friendly environment found on campus, while still offering some of the finest restaurants, shopping and culture the midwest has to offer just a short drive away. Located in northwest Ohio, Ada is 69 miles from Toledo, Ohio, to the north, 80 miles from Columbus, Ohio, to the south and 15 miles to Lima, Ohio to the west.

Research
Don't wait for graduate school to get involved with cutting-edge research. At ONU, undergraduate research is a pillar upon which future success is built. Our students partner with faculty on research that expands the horizons of human understanding, and our annual Student Research Colloquium is a showcase that attracts researchers from across the country.

Arts and Culture
Whether students see world-class entertainment at the Freed Center, attend art exhibits at the Elzay Gallery of Art or cheer along with the marching band, Ohio Northern University is a cultural epicenter for theater, art and design, music and dance.

Athletics
ONU competes in the NCAA Division III-Ohio Athletic Conference. There are 21 varsity sports (eleven for men and ten for women), and nearly as many club and intramural sports. ONU has won the men's and women's OAC All-Sports Trophies for four consecutive years, and the men have won for five consecutive years. Our school colors are orange and black and our mascot is Klondike the polar bear.

Student Life
Students choose from a variety of campus activities including: 200 student organizations; four national sororities and six national fraternities; intercollegiate, intramural and club sports; music and theatrical events.

Community Relations
Ohio Northern is more than just the buildings on our campus. We are partners in a wonderful community. Whether we are working with area business leaders in matters of economic development, the local school districts in bolstering education or local charities and faith-based organizations, ONU is making a difference.

ONU Green
As an Arbor Day Foundation Tree Campus USA, ONU is firmly committed to sustainability and environmental awareness on campus. Our on-campus housing derive 30 percent of their heating and cooling from geothermal technology and three new 400 kilowatt wind turbines are expected to provide between five and 10 percent of our electricity needs. Our fleet of hybrid and electric campus vehicles reduces our dependence on fossil fuels and our many environmentally themed student organizations are always finding new ways make ONU a greener place to live, learn and work.

The Inn at Ohio Northern University
Ada's world-class hotel offers more than 70 deluxe guest rooms, luxurious amenities and more than 3,000 square feet of flexible meeting spaces. Guests of The Inn enjoy everything that the ONU campus has to offer: athletics, fine art, theatre performances and so much more.
