Ohio Northern University student Anna Sankovich, a junior music performance major from Bowling Green, Ohio, has been named a 2013 Presser Scholar Award recipient. As a Presser Scholar, Sankovich will receive a $4,400 grant.
The award is given to a student who shows excellence in academics and a passion for music. In order to present the scholarship each year, the University must have at least 40 undergraduate music majors enrolled in the program. The recipient must have at least one-third of their credit hours in an area other than music.

ONU’s University singers were featured performers at the recent Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) Evening of Excellence, held in Columbus, Ohio.
ONU students presented their ecology research about the biology of the Mad River watershed, microbiology research on herbal ethnobotany and physiology research on positional effects of distractions on reaction time at the 122nd annual meeting of the Ohio Academy of Science, held April 6, 2013, at the University of Findlay.
