Law Dean’s Lecture Series to focus on ‘The Citizen Lawyer in the Coming Era’

Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law presents Kevin P. Lee, professor of law at Campbell University School of Law, as part of its Dean’s Lecture Series in the Moot Court Room on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 4:20 p.m.

The title of Lee’s presentation is “The Citizen Lawyer in the Coming Era: How Technology is Changing the Practice of Law and What it Might Mean for the Future of the Lawyer’s Role in the American Democracy.” He will discuss the latest technological changes that will not only transform the day-to-day practice of law and the economics of the legal services industry, but also drive changes in the way law itself is approached and the role of lawyers in the American democracy.

At Campbell, Lee teaches contracts, business associations, professional responsibility, jurisprudence, comparative law of China and international business transactions. He practiced with Braun Moriya Hoashi & Kubota in Tokyo and was a law clerk for Herbert J. Hutton Jr. in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Lee received his Ph.D. in social and political ethics from the Divinity School of the University of Chicago. He received his juris doctor from New York Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University.
