“Pharmacogenetics in the clinical setting to guide drug therapy decisions – progress and challenges”
Dr. Julie A. Johnson is director for the Center for Pharmacogenomics at the University of Florida’s Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine as well as director of the UF&Shands Personalized Medicine Program. Her research focuses on cardiovascular pharmacogenomics, and Johnson leads a research group in the NIH-supported Pharmacogenomics Research Network with a project focused on pharmacogenomics of antihypertensive drugs. Highly regarded in the field of cardiovascular pharmacogenomics, she leads the University of Florida’s efforts in the clinical translation of pharmacogenomics.
