The program prepares the student for most graduate-level PA programs. Interested students work with their advisor in developing their curricula for successful application/acceptance to a PA program. This prephysician assistant program in biological sciences prepares the student for most graduate-level physician assistant (PA) programs. PAs are health care professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. The prephysician assistant curriculum emphasizes anatomy, physiology, genetics and microbiology and includes courses in ethics and psychology. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required as well as significant health care experience. There is a 94 percent acceptance rate into graduate programs since 2000.
