Ohio Northern University’s NCPA Business Plan Team wins competition

Ohio Northern University’s National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Business Plan Team won the Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) third annual Innovative Student Business Plan competition at the 135th OPA Annual Conference and Trade Show in Columbus, Ohio, on April 13. Bethany Cuiksa, a fourth-year pharmacy student from Terre Haute, Ind.; Holly Kearney, a fifth-year from Lucasville, Ohio; Ross Robison, a fifth-year from Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Nicole Sivak, a fifth-year from Cleveland, Ohio, presented their hypothetical business plan, “Fresh Air Pharmacy featuring Breathe Easy Services,” in a head-to-head competition against Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati in front of approximately 200 conference... continue reading

 A five-member team from Ohio Northern University’s Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) won third place in the Student Case Competition during the 2013 SAM International Business Conference in Arlington, Va., from March 21-24.ONU competed in the Joseph Bush Trophy Division for undergraduate programs against a number of schools in the international competition. Ohio Northern University to present acclaimed author and actress Carol Drinkwater

Ohio Northern University will host a lecture by international author and actress Carol Drinkwater in the Dicke Forum on Monday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. Drinkwater’s lecture is titled “The Olive Route.” The event is free and open to the public. Drinkwater is perhaps most familiar to audiences for her award-winning portrayal of Helen Herriot in the BBC series “All Creatures Great and Small.” A popular and acclaimed author and filmmaker, Drinkwater also has published 19 books.When she and her husband Michel purchased a rundown property overlooking the Bay of Cannes, France, they discovered 68 400-year-old olive trees. Ohio Northern University’s Dicke College of Business Administration ranked No. 62 in the nation by Bloomberg Businessweek

Ohio Northern University’s Dicke College of Business Administration has been ranked No. 62 in the nation by Bloomberg Businessweek in the publication’s annual rankings of undergraduate business programs.         Ranked third in the state of Ohio, Ohio Northern earned high marks in the nine categories used for the rankings, including an “A” in the “Teaching Quality Grade” category. In academic quality, ONU was ranked 14th overall in the nation. Black Student Union Hosts a Successful Fashion Show

Last month was a major month here at Ohio Northern University. From the major theatrical release of Suicide in B Flat to the OAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, there were several major events taking place around campus. The Black Student Union (BSU) hosted one of their largest events, the annual fashion show in McIntosh Center, during February as well.
