Ohio Northern University's James F. Dicke College of Business Administration opens its 2009-10 Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series with an alumni panel discussion in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m.
Titled "How I Found My (First) Great Job," the discussion will feature Ohio Northern alumni Stephanie Bell, Jessica Fuerst and Dean Zimmerman talking about how ONU helped them garner positions in the business world after graduation.

Ohio Northern University welcomes high school seniors to campus for a series of three October open houses beginning on Oct. 3. Prospective students will learn about specific Ohio Northern programs, meet with current students, faculty and staff, and attend informational admissions and financial aid sessions. A complimentary lunch and campus tour will also be provided.

Seasonal flu shots and health screenings will be offered as part of the Ada Harvest and Herb Festival, provided by Kroger Pharmacy and Ohio Northern University's Rudolph H. Raabe College of Pharmacy, nursing program and The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration.
These health services will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, in the atrium of James F. Dicke Hall on South Main Street in Ada.
Flu shots will be offered for a fee of $24.99 and are available to people ages 14 and up. Children from ages 14 through 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The cost of the flu shot is covered by Medicare Part B and some insurance plans if the appropriate insurance cards are presented.

The Kern Foundation has awarded Dr. J.D. Yoder, Ohio Northern University professor of mechanical engineering, a KEEN III grant to expand ONU's entrepreneurship efforts directed at undergraduate engineering students of the T.J. Smull College of Engineering.
The $75,000 grant will fund "The ONU Engineering Experience: 2005-2015," whose primary goal is to develop the College of Engineering with an entrepreneurial mindset.

The Ohio Northern University James F. Dicke College of Business Administration Mu Delta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi was recognized as a Distinguished Chapter for the 2008-09 year.
Under the leadership of Dexter Woods, Ohio Northern professor of business administration, the Beta Alpha Psi Board of Directors honored the ONU chapter for far exceeding the minimum requirements of Beta Alpha Psi and excelling in the areas of academics, professionalism and leadership.

Eight undergraduate students from Ohio Northern University have been selected for Hanyang University Summer Program Fellowships for 2009.These students are spending four weeks in summer studies at Hanyang University in South Korea followed by a one-week trip to China.

Dr. James W. Fenton Jr., dean of Ohio Northern University's James F. Dicke College of Business Administration, has been appointed to the Ohio Steel Council.
Fenton's role on the Ohio Steel Council will be to represent an institution of higher education in Ohio, providing educational input and receiving steel industry practitioner input having to do with matters involving the steel industry, particularly in Ohio. He will complete the current term, which ends Sept. 17, and fill a three-year term beginning Sept. 18.
