Our evidence of excellence: The art & design department is recognized in the 3rd edition of the "Creative Colleges: A Guide for Student Actors, Artists, Dancers, Musicians and Writers" as one of the top creative programs nationwide. ONU is the only small, private, comprehensive university included in the Midwest.

Ohio Northern offers numerous opportunities for students to enhance their educational experience with summer trips to Europe, study abroad programs in Italy, England and South America, and professional internship experiences across the country at leading firms, museums and other institutions.

Graduates of ONU from the art and design program work for Walt Disney, the Smithsonian Institution, Periscope (Mercury) Studios, Dr. Pepper, American Greetings, Hallmark, Chicago Museum of Contemporary Arts, New England Journal of Medicine, and numerous universities and school districts.
