At the recent Joint National Mathematics Meetings in Boston, Dr. Bill Fuller, associate professor of mathematics, presented a paper on “Modeling thermal propagation along vein walls in endovenous laser treatment.” Fuller presented work he has done in collaboration with Maria Raiti, mathematics and statistics department and a local surgeon, Ronald Bush, M.D. Fuller also acted as chair of one of the AMS sessions on mathematical biology and related fields.
