Athletic Training Awards and Scholarships

2011-2012 Gary Rose Award

The Gary Rose award is given to an athletic training student who exemplifies the qualities necessary to be an excellent athletic training professional.  This is a monetary award given to an Ohio Northern University athletic training student in memory of Gary Rose.

Gary Rose was the first full-time certified athletic trainer at Ohio Northern University.  He spent a short time in the NFL and then entered private business prior to his untimely death.  The Gary Rose Memorial Scholarship was established and modestly funded in 1990 by Gary Rose's family.
