Performers in The Barton Workshop include John Anderson, Frank Denyer, Jos Zwaanenburg and James Fulkerson. The workshop will include pieces composed by Hyo-shin Na, Alvin Lucier, Christian Wolff and Jakob Ullmann, as well as pieces composed by The Barton Workshop performers.

John Anderson (clarinet/percussion) is a founding member of The Barton Workshop and was co-principal clarinet with the Hoofstad Operette until its disbandment. Anderson also studied at the New South Wales Conservatorium and has performed in several competitions and ensembles.

Frank Denyer (piano/percussion), an internationally featured composer, studied at the Guildhall School of Music in London. He is currently the professor of composition at Dartington College of Arts in the United Kingdom.

Jos Zwaanenburg (flutes/electronics) is a flautist, composer and conductor who has performed throughout Europe and the United States, as well as South America, India, the Russian Federation and Japan. Zwaanenburg is known for his research into extended playing techniques for the flute and for initiating the development of the open hole alto flute.
