ONU Teams with Kroger to Offer Flu Shots, Health Screenings 
ONU Teams with Kroger to Offer Flu Shots, Health Screenings
Seasonal flu shots and health screenings will be offered as part of the Ada Harvest and Herb Festival, provided by Kroger Pharmacy and Ohio Northern University's Rudolph H. Raabe College of Pharmacy, nursing program and The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration.
These health services will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, in the atrium of James F. Dicke Hall on South Main Street in Ada.
Flu shots will be offered for a fee of $24.99 and are available to people ages 14 and up. Children from ages 14 through 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The cost of the flu shot is covered by Medicare Part B and some insurance plans if the appropriate insurance cards are presented.
Health screenings are free and include blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol checks for people ages 18 and older. Blood sugar and cholesterol checks require a small amount of blood from a finger.
Even with growing concern about the H1N1 swine flu, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that people, especially young children, older adults and people with existing health conditions, receive the seasonal flu vaccine each year. Learn more at www.flu.gov
