Estell, professor of computer science and computer engineering and chair of the ECCS department, has been named by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Educational Activities Board as an IEEE program evaluator for computer engineering programs seeking accreditation through the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission.
