A multimedia project produced by Randy Walk, ONU’s new associate director for multimedia development, has received first place honors in the 2009 ONPA multimedia contest.

Making the Census Count
To promote awareness, acceptance and action on the 2010 U.S. Census, three ONU public relations majors have developed a census campaign for ONU and the community. They are asking faculty to encourage students to take part in the 2010 Census.

Students Compete in Campaign for 2010 U.S. Census
Three Ohio Northern University public relations students are partnering with the 2010 U.S. Census in order to win a national campaign competition.

Students to Help with Tax Preparation
Elderly and low-income tax payers in Allen and Hardin counties can receive free income tax assistance from Ohio Northern University law and accounting students through Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA).

Emily Jay Nominated for Statewide Art Award
Emily Jay, a Powell native and Ohio Northern University senior in art, was recently chosen from among her peers as a nominee for the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Ohio (AICUO) Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts.

Idea Pitch Competition Winners Named
Jen Tabar, a junior biology major from Hinckley, Ohio, took the $250 top prize at Ohio Northern University’s James F. Dicke College of Business Administration entrepreneurial idea pitch competition on Feb. 3.
