Ohio Northern University will commemorate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day with a presentation from activist and environmentalist Julia “Butterfly” Hill in the ONU English Chapel on Tuesday, April 20 at 7 p.m.

Climate Change Expert to Speak
Dr. Andy Jorgensen, associate professor of chemistry and director of general chemistry at the University of Toledo, will speak on “Global Climate Change: What is it? How will it Affect Us? Can We Reduce the Impact by our Actions?” in Room 151 Hakes-Pierstorf Pharmacy Center at Ohio Northern University on Wednesday, April 21, at 8 p.m.

Lehman Honored
Linda Lehman, visiting assistant to the director of the Center for Teacher Education, has been named to the OSU-Lima Hall of Fame.

Clingerman Publishes Essay
Dr. Forrest Clingerman, assistant professor of religion, is author of an essay, “Wilderness as the Place between Philosophy and Theology: Questioning Martin Drenthen on the Otherness of Nature,” which appears in the interdisciplinary environmental philosophy journal Environmental Values.

Posters at the Capitol
Eighteen Ohio Northern University students will be among more than 50 students from northwest Ohio taking part in Posters at the Capitol in Columbus, Ohio, on April 15.

PRSSA Students Receive Honorable Mention in National Competition
The Ohio Northern University team of Joe Clarkson, a sophomore from Huntingdon, Pa., Callie Crum, a senior from Cardington, Ohio, Tegan Ellis, a senior from Marion, Ohio, and Amanda McKelvey, a senior from Hammonton, N.J., received honorable mention in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) 2010 Bateman Competition.

Wilson Named Gilder Lehrman History Scholar
Carol Wilson, a senior in professional writing and history, politics and justice from Royal Oak, Mich., has been chosen as one of 10 Gilder Lehrman History Scholars for 2010.


Relay For Life
For the sixth year on the Ohio Northern University campus, walkers will go around the clock to benefit the battle against cancer during the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.
