ONU Presents Panel Discussion on Constitutional Law
In celebration of the 223rd anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution, Ohio Northern University will host a panel discussion on current issues in constitutional law at 7 p.m., Sept. 16, in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.

Visit Days Bring Prospective Students to ONU
Prospective students interested in learning more about ONU’s programs can sign up for visit days to meet with faculty and current students and see the ONU campus. In October, the following visit days are planned. Registration is required for students and their families:

Grant Received
ONU has received a$19,500 course and program grant from the National College Inventors & Innovators Alliance (NCIIA) to support “Cross-disciplinary Development Teams to Make Students’ Ideas Real,” a project aimed at advancing the entrepreneurial mindset at Ohio Northern University.

Ohio Supreme Court to hold Off-Site Court at Ohio Northern

The Supreme Court of Ohio will convene an official session at Ohio Northern University on Wednesday, Sept. 29. The visit is part of the court's semiannual Off-Site Court Program.
Chief Justice Eric Brown and Justices Paul E. Pfeifer, Evelyn Lundberg Stratton, Maureen O'Connor, Terrence O'Donnell, Judith Ann Lanzinger and Robert R. Cupp will hear oral arguments in four cases beginning at 9 a.m. on campus in Ada, Ohio.

Women’s Chorus Seeks Members
The ONU Women’s Chorus is welcoming women from Ada and the surrounding community to join the group.

Country singer Lee Ann Womack will perform on Saturday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are available now.

Ohio Northern University's Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents "Be the Groove" and the ONU Dance Company on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.

Shakespeare's 'Hamlet'
Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents William Shakespeare's "Hamlet" from Oct. 13-16 at 8 p.m. with a matinee performance on Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.

Multimedia Presentation Wins Awards

Randy Walk, associate director of multimedia development in the Communications and Marketing office, has been honored with two recent awards.

Professor Heads State Math Chapter
Dr. Donald A. Hunt, associate professor of mathematics and chair of the department of mathematics and statistics, is serving as president of the Ohio Section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). Dr. Bob Hovis, retired professor of mathematics, is the OhioMAA Liaison to Ohio MATYC.

Family Day, Sept. 25
Family and friends of ONU students are invited enjoy a day on campus, Sept. 25. Activities range from seminars and lunch with President and Mrs. Baker to ONU football. See the full schedule of events and register.

Semester Transition Update
ONU students are urged to contact their academic advisor to begin work on individualized transition plans as the university prepares for the upcoming calendar switch to semesters in fall 2011. Each student’s transition plan should be completed prior to advanced winter quarter registration in mid-October.

Mortar Board Chapter Receives National Award
The Aurora chapter at Ohio Northern University was among the outstanding chapters to be honored for its excellence at the 2010 Mortar Board National Conference, held July 23-25 in Chicago.

Internship Opportunities Available
The Office of Career Services is partnering with The Right Thing, Inc., Findlay, Ohio, a recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) provide, to provide internship opportunities to ONU students. The Right Thing, Inc. will be attending Ohio Northern University's Fall Career Fair on Sept. 22.
