Adrienne Wood Donaldson, a 1999 graduate of ONU's Raabe College of Pharmacy, is the 2010 recipient of the William L. Robinson Young Alumni of the Year Award. The award is given each year to an individual who is committed to Ohio Northern University, his/her profession and the community.

Keiser lectureONU to Honor Outstanding Business Alumnus

The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration will present John J. Bishop with an Outstanding Service Award on Saturday, Oct. 9. The award, given annually at Homecoming, honors individuals who have provided sustained and outstanding service to and whose contributions have positively impacted the College of Business Administration and Ohio Northern.

Alumni Panel Opens Business Dean's Lecture Series

The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration opens its 2010-11 Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series with a discussion of the young professional's journey in the business world. The presentation will take place in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m.

Ohio Northern University will host a lecture by leading stem cell research expert Dr. Renee Reijo-Pera in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Monday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. Reijo-Pera’s presentation, “Human Health, Development and Stem Cells,” is part of the Keiser Distinguished Lectureship in Life Sciences program.

Dr. David R. Smith, associate professor of geography, will present a lecture titled "Water War in Central Asia? Implications for Regional and U.S. Foreign Policy" as part of the Phi Beta Delta International Forum from 7 to 8:15 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 7, in the Dicke Forum.

United Way Campaign Begins
The United Way of Hardin County is beginning its annual campaign. This year’s goal is a repeat of last year’s $200,000 to support 22 community agencies. The ONU community is a major supporter of the campaign.

Solis Featured Speaker for Hispanic Heritage Month
Evelina Solis, BA ’01, will be guest speaker for a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Development and the Latino Student Union.

ONU Recycles Needs Your Vote!
ONU Recycles is one of five national finalists in the Great American Cleanup competition. The winner receives $5,800 with another $5,800 going to the local Keep America Beautiful affiliate. You can vote online for the ONU representatives online.

Semester Transition Update
ONU students are urged to contact their academic advisor to begin work on individualized transition plans as the university prepares for the upcoming calendar switch to semesters in fall 2011. Each student’s transition plan should be completed prior to advanced winter quarter registration in mid-October.

Homecoming Exhibit To Showcase Alumni Art
The work of selected Ohio Northern alumni will be on exhibit during Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Elzay Gallery of Art. An opening reception will also be held directly following the Homecoming parade. The exhibit, "What Lies Ahead," will be on display Oct. 1 through 11.

Postage Stamp Recognizes Art & Design Department
A new postage stamp is now available in recognition of the 50th anniversary of ONU's bachelor of arts degree in art, "Latitude: Art & Design @ 50." The stamp design features a digital chromogenic print by Ohio Northern graduate Laurie Godfrey, BFA '05.
