ONU's Black Rose men's rugby team captured the Ohio Rugby Union (ORU) Division III Championship with a 31-22 victory over the University of Kentucky at Rhodes Field in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010.

The Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law will host an open house to celebrate the Lima Legal Clinic's 10th anniversary at the Metropolitan Building (formerly known as the Stippich Building) on North Main Street in Lima on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 4-6 p.m.

Engineering Students Win Big at Baja Competition
Two teams of Ohio Northern University engineering students garnered top 20 finishes in the regional Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) "Backwoods Baja," race in Arkansaw, Wis., on Saturday, Oct. 23.

Dufault Honored for Quebec Studies

Dr. Roseanna Dufault, professor of French and chair of the Department of Modern Languages, has been honored with the Prix du Quebec 2010 in recognition of her promotion of Quebec studies and promotion of cross cultural understanding. The award was made at the biannual meeting of the American Council for Quebec Studies. She also received a letter of congratulations from Quebec's ministry of international relations. See video.

Food for Fines at Heterick Library

Food for Fines at the  Heterick Memorial Library will be Dec. 1-7, in celebration of national “Roof Over Your Head Day.”

Elected Section President

Dr. Don Hunt, associate professor and chair of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, has been elected president of the Ohio Section of the Mathematics Association of America. His term will continue into 2011.

Engineering Faculty Present Papers
ONU engineering faculty members Dr. Ken Reid, Dr. John Estell, Dr. Khalid Al-Olimat and Dr. Sami Khorbotly presented a series of papers at the recent Frontiers in Education Conference in Washington, D.C.

NCPA 2010 Student Chapter of the Year
The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Student Chapter of Ohio Northern University's Raabe College of Pharmacy was named the 2010 Student Chapter of the Year at the 112th NCPA Annual Convention and Trade Exposition in Philadelphia on Oct. 25.

Student Health Center Moves

The Student Health Center has moved to the Lakeview Apartments. It is located west of the Freed Center and pond.  

Stomach Virus Causes Campus Illness

A number of students have been seen at the University Health Center and at area hospitals over the last two weeks. These students have experienced symptoms of Viral Gastroenteritis.
