Wrapping up the season with a 35-14 victory over Heidelberg, the No. 10 ONU Polar Bears now move into the NCAA III playoffs, hosting No. 9 Wittenberg at noon Saturday in Dial-Roberson Stadium. ONU Alumni will host a tailgate beginning at 10:30 a.m. Reservations can be made on line and are due by Nov. 18.

16th annual Holiday Spectacular
Ohio Northern University's Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents the 16th annual performance of Holiday Spectacular at the Freed Center on Friday, Dec. 3, at 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. There also will be performances at the Civic and Convention Center in Lima on Friday, Dec. 10, and Saturday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m.

'Dollars and Sense' Answers Financial Aid Questions
This week more than 30 families will receive detailed information about their financial options at ONU, thanks to an innovative series of seminars, called “Dollars and Sense,” hosted this week on the ONU campus.

Campus Campaign Says Thank You!
A special thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Campus Campaign. An outstanding 69 percent of our faculty and staff have contributed more than $120,000 in gifts and pledges.

Pitts Speaks at Conferences in Turkey
Dr. Jonathan Pitts, associate professor of English at ONU, currently on leave as the Fulbright Senior Lecturer in American Studies at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, recently spoke at two conferences in Turkey.

Scott Honored for Decade of Service to Sigma Tau Delta

Dr. Rob Scott, professor of English, is being recognized by Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honorary, for 10 years of dedicated service as advisor to the ONU chapter

Courtney Participates in Conference

Justin F. Courtney, director of Residence Life and director of Career Services, participated in the 39th annual GLACUHO (Great Lakes Association of College and University Housing Officers) conference in Collinsville, Ill.

Kunkler Named to OhioLINK Committee
Jenny Kunkler, cataloging librarian at the Heterick Memorial Library, has been elected to represent the state's independent colleges and universities on OhioLINK's Database Management and Standards Committee.

Food for Fines at Heterick Library

Food for Fines at the  Heterick Memorial Library will be Dec. 1-7, in celebration of national “Roof Over Your Head Day.”

Grant Received
Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mohti, assistant professor of civil engineering, is working in collaboration with faculty at the University of North Florida on a research project titled “Sealing of Cracks on Florida Bridge Decks with Steel Girders.” 

Football Playoff Tickets on Sale

At noon, Saturday, the No. 10 ranked ONU football team will take on Wittenberg at Dial-Roberson Stadium in the first round of NCAA Division III Playoffs.

Toy Drive
The ONU Lions Club will start a toy drive immediately following Thanksgiving break. The toys will be donated to underprivileged children by a local charitable organization, Love Inc.

Eyeglasses Recycling
The ONU Lions Club is also collecting used eyeglasses and hearing aids throughout the entire year.

Klondike Raffle
The Ohio Northern University Support Staff Association (ONUSA) will be raffling off a retired Boyd’s Bear named Klondike. The drawing will be Dec. 14.

Career Services

The Office of Career Services is now located on the second floor of The McIntosh Center.
Student Health Center
The Student Health Center has moved to the Lakeview Apartments. It is located west of the Freed Center and pond.
