Kaitlyn Early receives Financial Executives International Student Award

Kaitlyn Early was one of the fourteen area students who received recognition at the annual Financial Executives International (FEI) Toledo Chapter Student Awards Night held in Toledo, Ohio on November 10, 2011.  Ms. Early was acknowledged for her accomplishments as being an outstanding accounting student and was presented a $250 award check from Mr. Robert Kruger on behalf of the FEI Toledo Chapter. 
  
A senior accounting major at the Dicke College of Business Administration at Ohio Northern University, Ms. Early’s recognition was well deserved as she is presently serving as president of both the Beta Alpha Psi (accounting honorary) and the Institute of Management Accountants student chapters.  This past summer, Ms. Early interned with Deloitte Tax in their Columbus Office and will start full-time there in October 2012. In addition, she was a member of the ONU Swim Team her first three years at ONU and was awarded the Coach's Award for the 2010-11 season and Most Improved Swimmer for the 2009-10 season. Ms. Early has also been a member of the President's Club since her freshmen year, helping ONU’s President host events with alumni, contributors, and high-profile guests. She accomplished all of this and still has earned a cumulative 3.68 GPA!
 
The Financial Executives International is a professional organization for senior financial executives, which represent over 15,000 individuals worldwide.  The FEI “is the leading voice on behalf of corporate financial executives, actively engaging the FASB, IASC, SEC and legislators in dialogue to represent the viewpoints of [its] membership.”  To qualify for the annual award, an accounting or finance student must demonstrate a “high level of academic achievement and intellectual honesty, and [must possess] high promise for a successful career in business.”
