ONU to host panel discussion about heroin

Ohio Northern University will host a panel discussion about heroin, focusing on drug courts and prison drug counseling, in the forum of James F. Dicke Hall on Monday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m.

This panel will feature Judge James S. Rapp of the Hardin County Court of Common Please, Probate and Juvenile Divisions, and Wade Melton, director of programs with the Hardin County Juvenile Court and the director of Hardin Community School. Melton currently monitors the juvenile drug court program and the Dependency Treatment Court program.

Lastly, John Hall, paramedic and correctional program coordinator at the Allen Correctional Institute in Lima, Ohio, will talk about the Recovery Services Program.

The ONU Department of History, Politics and Justice is sponsoring the event, which is free and open to the public.
