Pharmacy partners with OhioHealth to co-sponsor fellowship
The Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy and OhioHealth have partnered to co-sponsor a one-year Executive Fellowship in Pharmacy Administration and Professional Leadership.
Through engagement and ownership of activities in health system corporate management, together with professional advocacy and leadership, this newly developed postgraduate training program will help the fellow develop and enhance their management and leadership skills.
The fellowship will prepare the recipient for numerous career opportunities, including health care/pharmacy management, executive-level positions in health-related businesses and organizations, association management, academia, and positions with government- and health-related agencies.
Upon completion of the program, the fellow will be more aware of pharmacy issues, including advancement of patient care practice, and build teaching skills through involvement in teaching at ONU. Course instruction in clinical and leadership curriculum will be required.
Charles McCluskey, system vice president of OhioHealth, and Jenelle Sobotka, professor and endowed chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice at ONU, will serve as program co-directors. Work hours will be divided between OhioHealth Pharmacy Services in Dublin, Ohio, and Ohio Northern’s College of Pharmacy.
