Toering to speak on "Legal Aid or Billable Hours: How is a Young Associate to Decide?"
Doug Toering will be speaking on "Legal Aid or Billable Hours: How is a Young Associate to Decide" in the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law moot court room (129) on Thursday, March 22 at 11:30 a.m.
The event, sponsored by the Christian Legal Society and the Public Interest Law Association, is free and open to the public.
Toering is a business litigator and a founding partner of Grassi & Toering, PLC in Troy, Mich. Previously; he practiced with the General Motors Legal Staff and went on to become a partner at the national litigation firm of Bowman and Brooke where he represented auto manufacturers before founding Grassi & Toering, PLC.
In addition, Toering has also served as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Graduate School of Business Administration. He has been published in the Michigan Bar Journal, the Michigan Business Law Journal, Pretrial Practice & Discovery (ABA), and the City Solicitor (London, England). Toering is a member of the Christian Legal Society and was a founding director of the Christian Conciliation Service of Southeast Michigan.
