ONU Engineering Student Takes Top Award

Kathryn Johnson, a senior civil engineering major from Alliance, Ohio, was awarded The Ohio Section of the American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Poster Presentation Award. The presentation took place at the 68th annual conference and exposition in Cleveland, Ohio on Oct. 10-13.

Johnson’s poster, entitled “Keep the Promise United Nations Millennium Goals Country Study: Haiti Slow And Filters,” competed against mostly graduate engineering students.

The Ohio Section of AWWA is committed to affording leadership and guidance to the water community in order to provide sufficient, high quality drinking water.
