Molecular Biology

The Molecular Biology major provides the necessary training for students to pursue careers in the biotechnology industry and research in cell and molecular biology.  The program offers excellent preparation for graduate and medical school.

  • Capstone Experience
  • Capstone Seminar
  • Genetics (BIOL 2101)
  • Molecular Biology (BIOL 2171)
  • Cell Biology (BIOL 3511)
  • Cell and Molecular Lab (BIOL 3521)
  • Microbiology (BIOL 3111)
  • Advanced Topics in Cell Biology

Plus 1 year of General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry and Biochemistry Lab
Plus two non-remedial courses in mathematics and/or statistics totaling 6 credit hours
Plus two non-remedial courses in physics with lab totaling 8 credit hours
