Dr. Alisa Agozzino

Biography: 

Dr. Alisa Agozzino is an assistant professor of public relations at Ohio Northern University. As a public relations professor, Dr. Agozzino teaches a variety of classes including; Introduction to Public Relations, Public Relations Writing, Social Media and Public Relations, Public Relations Research and Public Relations Campaigns. She also serves as ONU’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) adviser.

 

Dr. Agozzino's main research interest lies in social media tools within the public relations field. Her current research agenda examines how social media impacts different industries. From nonprofit, to admissions offices, to public relations professionals, Dr. Agozzino is exploring how those using social media tools are doing so to effectively reach their target audiences in order to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships.

 

Professionally Dr. Agozzino is involved and serves on a variety of different regional and national offices. She serves as editor-in-chief for the national Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Educator’s Academy newsletter. Dr. Agozzino also is the co-chair of the Central Ohio PRSA public relations committee. Busy is a must for this active professor, as she also is a presented work at the National Communication Association (NCA), Central States Communication Association (CSCA), Ohio Communication Association (OCA), International Public Relations Research Conference (IPRRC) conferences.
