Symphonic Band

The Ohio Northern University Band was organized in 1889-90 through the Military Department.  The Band played for military events and other university functions, but was not separate from the Military Department until 1914.  Throughout the years, the ONU band program has continued to grow both in terms of participation as well as in quality and innovation.  Students at Ohio Northern have the option of being involved in several bands, including the Symphonic Band.  The Symphonic Band is open to students, faculty, and staff at ONU.  Performers must complete a placement audition.
