I was born in Lima, Ohio, grew up on a farm near Waynesfield, Ohio and graduated from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. I worked for Christy Equipment Company, Lima Register, Inc. and Koneta Rubber Company as a computer operator, programmer, and analyst spanning the years from 1980 to 1991. In 1987, I began teaching computer classes as an adjunct lecturer at Lima Technical College, in Lima, Ohio and continued through 1999. I taught my first course at Ohio Northern as an adjunct lecturer in 1991 and became a full time instructor in 1996 after earning my Master's Degree from the University of Dayton.
