Insurance Information

A STUDENT INJURY AND SICKNESS INSURANCE PLAN is available to ONU students through the ONU Controllers' Office. Each year, this insurance information including a brochure is mailed to ONU students that explain coverage and costs. This optional coverage is a 12-month plan effective mid-August to mid-August the following year. Please note that Ohio Northern University requires all students to be covered by some form of medical insurance. Please be sure that your family's medical insurance is adequate for the Ada (Ohio) network area.

Any Student Health Center charges are sent to the Students Account. The Health Center does not submit claims to student's family medical insurance. The Health Center does not charge to see students. Charges are forwarded if loaned crutches, wheelchair, etc. and items not returned in a timely and pre-loaned condition.

Most charges are sent to the student's health insurance for labs, x-rays, or referrals outside from Ohio Northern University.
