Through hands-on instruction and theory-based project management coursework, students learn how to create and distribute their content via the web, through traditional media channels, in independent media, and in corporate settings.

Students in the Multimedia Production program explore the production of content for television, websites and interactive media. With studies in digital video production and editing, graphic design, interactive media and web design, students develop a broad skill set and an understanding of both traditional and new media.
Students need a total of 18 hours of coursework to complete a minor in multimedia production.
Students take the following two core courses:
Introduction to Writing and Multimedia Studies
Layout and Design
Students then choose ONE of the following three fundamental program courses:
Adaptive Media Production
Culture Studies and Media Analysis
Rhetorical Theory
Additionally, students choose three of the four elective program courses:
Multimedia Writing
Video Storytelling
Podcasting
Narrative Photography
