Professor Halydier’s research investigates how to intentionally design laws to vary over time in response to market conditions to achieve a state’s long-term goals for industry development and maturity. Professor Halydier serves as the Co-Director of the Institute for Asian-Pacific Business Law with the dual mission of providing research and training in cutting-edge implementation of business law and commercial best practices throughout the Asian-Pacific Region and introducing students to the value of business law for all areas of practice. He started his teaching career as a national champion college policy debate coach before working internationally as an award-winning graduate test prep teacher. He is originally from Texas, but he has taught in Virginia, Hawai‘i, Ohio, and internationally.
