Next step: Accountant, Deloitte, Cleveland

Success in fours. Xavier landed a position in the Cleveland office of Deloitte, one of the Big 4 accounting firms; he completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and MSA degree at ONU in just 4 ½ years; and he’s graduating with a 4.0 GPA in the MSA program.

Accounting ace. Majoring in accounting at ONU opened doors for Xavier to meet people in the government, industry, public, and private sectors. He seeks to do “amazing things” with his knowledge and degree. “Helping people has always been vital in my life. I want to be a resource to people in my community and to friends and family.”

Gridiron glory. Playing ONU football was one of Xavier’s most unforgettable college experiences. An injury mid-season taught him about perseverance. “I had the opportunity to play and coach at the college level for four years and it shaped me into who I am today.”

Diversity awareness. Xavier was part of a group of students and faculty who championed a campus-wide effort called ONUnity to cultivate understanding and appreciation of diversity. “When times were tricky around the world, we worked on ways to bring the campus together around a sensitive topic through talking and sharing different perspectives and stories. I count this among my biggest successes.”

Royalty in every sense. Widely respected on campus, Xavier was crowned to ONU’s Homecoming Court in 2022. He humbly credits his many achievements to his support system. “Growing up, I had different experiences than most people do, but I had a hugely supportive “village”—from coaches to friends, family to neighbors. They made an impact on my life, and if I can help someone as they have done for me, I’m doing life right.”
